REISSWOLF has been successfully protecting your analogue and digital data for 30 years. The digital processing of data and the ever shorter development steps here not only require constantly new protective measures, but also a constant check whether data security is guaranteed for us and our customers.
On today's European Data Protection Day, we would therefore like to present the "IT Security in the Economy" initiative of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.
The initiative, which is made up of IT experts from the business world, aims to draw attention to the relevance of the topic on the one hand, but on the other hand also to offer small and medium-sized enterprises in particular the opportunity to expand their IT security. In order to achieve this goal, the SIWECOS tool was launched.
The tool, which takes its name from the initial letters of the premise "secure websites and content management systems", checks websites based on content management systems such as WordPress, Joomla! or TYPO3 for security gaps and gives recommendations for action to eliminate the weak points.
Whether readable telephone numbers, spam content or inadequate encryption functions – SIWECOS finds the vulnerabilities of the system by imitating possible threats in several repetition loops and thus testing the attack surface of the website as well as its extensions, such as plug-ins. The result report in the follow-up of the scan presents you with clear expansion possibilities as well as correction suggestions in order to adapt the technical structure of your website. Similar to the Privacy by Design of the GDPR, SIWECOS also pursues the goal of expanding security through the design and measures of technology.
The REISSWOLF Group regularly uses this security check to position itself more broadly in the area of cyber security and to protect our website visitors in the best possible way. You can see this at the corresponding SIWECOS logo at the bottom of our website.
You can also start a trial and have your website checked by SIWECOS free of charge.
