MIBRAG opts for digitisation of employee files

Every company works with data and documents for which different legal retention periods apply. Occupational health records must be kept for 40 years after the last medical check-up. Over time, a lot of sensitive patient data comes together. The solution chosen by Mitteldeutsche Braunkohlegesellschaft mbH (MIBRAG) shows that this does not always have to go hand in hand with additional costs for archive rooms and protective measures such as burglary, fire and water damage.

Together with REISSWOLF Sachsen, the customer developed a process in which 2,500 extensive company medical patient files of their employees, including ECG records, were securely digitised and then destroyed in accordance with data protection regulations.

40 years retention period? This is no longer an issue!

Thanks to the digitalisation of the files, the customer even benefits in several ways: either through newly usable room capacities or savings on archive room rent, through the elimination of special protective measures against external influences of all kinds and on top, the data is partially better readable than the originals and available 24/7 digitally.
