The Rovaniemi Entrepreneurs Association voted REISSWOLF Finland founder, Pertti Heikkinen, Entrepreneur of the Year.
With his strong personality and his ability to respond to the needs of customers, he has successfully convinced everyone.
In 1989, Pertti Heikkinen and a business partner founded an information security company specialising in document destruction.
Only a few years later, he was the sole owner and, in addition to data and document destruction, archiving and later digitalisation were added.
Lack of space and expensive archive space, for example in the centre of Helsinki, and long storage periods, sometimes of up to one hundred years, are the reasons why it is cheaper to outsource the documents instead.
"A customer has outsourced one shelf kilometre and thus saves up to 70,000 euros in personnel and maintenance costs per year," says Pertti Heikkinen.
REISSWOLF Finland now has an archiving area of 30,000 m³ and archives 30 to 40 shelf kilometres of documents. In addition, there are approx. 1,000 tons of paper material which is destroyed annually and then largely recycled.
In addition to paper, other confidential materials such as x-rays, tooth forms and work clothing are also safely destroyed.
We congratulate Pertti Heikkinen on his award and are delighted that he has made REISSWOLF so successful in Finland.
