Cities & municipalities counting on REISSWOLF for digitisation.

Digitisation is progressing in all municipalities in Germany - of course accelerated by the pandemic that has heavily affected public life in the last 2 years. However, the current "Future Radar Digital Municipality" also shows that only 21% consider the level of digitisation of their own administration to be good or very good. The majority 79% still see the greatest need for action here, 27% even consider the state of their own digitisation to be bad to very bad. Almost 1,000 leaders from cities and municipalities nationwide took part in the survey conducted by the Institute for Innovation and Technology (iit) and the German Association of Cities and Municipalities (DStGB).

These are complex challenges and online access for the citizenry is obviously not enough. A rethink must also take place in the minds of all employees and numerous processes must be digitally optimised. Sufficient funding and qualified staff are two further stumbling blocks on the path to digital transformation. But nothing that cannot be solved and nine out of ten municipalities rate the benefits of digitalisation very highly. You can download the complete report at

An important component is definitely the digitisation of files. REISSWOLF is one of the most efficient and trustworthy partners for public authorities. This is shown not least by the numerous tender wins in recent months, which are currently being successfully implemented by our digitisation team. We are very pleased about the orders from the municipality of Ascheberg as well as the cities of Bad Friedrichshall, Flensburg, Mönchengladbach, Münster, Nürtingen, Sindelfingen and Ulm. A total of more than 66,000 building law, tax, immigration, personnel or administrative files are securely prepared, scanned, indexed and digitally transferred in an audit-proof manner.

As a successful ELO partner, REISSWOLF also offers numerous digital processes for efficient cooperation. Completely individually scalable to the respective digital maturity level of a municipality. Starting with basic consulting and joint strategy development with a cross-functional and cross-hierarchical team on the municipal side. What all needs to be well thought out and planned at the beginning can be read in our checklist for the introduction of an enterprise content management system. Later on, you can easily add individual modules according to your needs and capacities, such as a digital inbox and outbox, secure email communication, contract management and much more.

The precondition is always the willingness to work in an agile manner in order to become a learning organisation through an open error culture – and to become a little more digital, competent and motivated every day.
